Jay is all about surprises and doing fun trips for the family. For one of Rebecca's birthday's, he surprised them both with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. The sheer joy on Rebecca's face was priceless and he longed to do something equally special for Emily. He succeeded!
He took the day off from his stressful job to drive 3 hours, well technically a 2:15 drive and 45 mins of D.C. traffic, to take the girls to the new American Girl Store. It was such a great birthday trip for both girls to enjoy. He took it in stride, but I'm guessing the trip to Bass Pro Shop on the way home was a way to reclaim his manliness after a day in a little girl store.
