About Us

I would love to welcome you to have this little glimpse into our world.
We are a typical family- dad, mom, daughter #1, daughter #2, and dog.  We are conservative Christian family who centers our lives around serving Christ.

Dad : Jay
He is a D.J.  No, seriously, he is one of those computer geniuses.  To go into all that he does would be boring to those non-computer geeks, and, well, it's top secret so I might have to kill ya if I told.
Anyone who knows him would describe him as a Disney Nut.  He is a little boy who thinks we live on Monopoly money when it comes to WDW.  But it's all good!  We have some great family vacations.

Mom : Me
I am a wife, mother, chauffeur, short order cook, nurse, teacher, housekeeper, and all around nagger.  Homeschooling is a great love of mine and consumes most of my life in some aspect.  My favorite sport is whatever one that involves my children and I love to read Christian fiction- particularly historical Christian fiction.

Daughter #1 : Rebecca
She is my superstar.  With a personality like her daddy, she is competitive.  She will compete with herself or others to be the best.  Whether it is quoting the most scripture, diving, gymnastics, soccer, basketball or playing on the wii, she strives to be the best.  She is short for being 11 yo. hence the "short" in the blog title.

Daughter #2 : Emily
She is my sweet, thoughtful daughter.  She is very sensitive and wants to please those around her.  She has the most giving heart of any little girl that I have met.  She loves to play soccer and tolerates gymnastics.  She is learning to play the piano and just turned 9.

Dog : Rosie
"The little black furball" as my grandma calls her is our 2.5 yo yorkie poo.  She is energetic, hairy (but doesn't shed), and loves to jump.  She can usually be found chewing on a bone, lying in her crate or whining for you to play with her.  I love having a dog (although that is something I rarely admit) and she has been great for teaching the girls responsibility.  If we could get past the carsickness thing,
I'd take her everywhere with us.
